Our dogs can suffer from 

 
constipation
 
when they find it difficult to defecate and sometimes you can find blood in their stool and their stool can be harder than normal.If this doesn´t go away after a few days then you should see a veterinary to avoid severe consequenses. 
The reason for the constipation can be various,  from a poor diet and lack of exercise to a large supply of snacks and bones from a diet low in fiber.
